Paro, May 12, 2015: The Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB) and the EU Commission signed the Financial Agreement of EU-Technical Cooperation Project (TCP) in support of RNR Sector on August, 2014 and accordingly the EU Delegation, New Delhi, India has approved the Start-up Programme Estimate to be implemented from March- June 2015. The RGoB in Financial Agreement has agreed to follow the EU rules and regulation in implementing the EU-TCP
With technical support from the International Consultant recruited by EU, New Delhi, the Project Coordination Unit in collaboration with the National Authorizing Office, Gross National Happiness Commission Secretariat (GNHCS) is conducting 4 days workshop on Program Estimate and Procurement Procedure from 11th-14th May, 2015 at Namsay Choieling Resort in Paro.
The objective and the expected outcomes of the workshop are to familiarize EU rules and regulation in formulating the Program Estimate and Procurement procedures; finalize the training requirements of MoAF and come up with the draft report on first operational program estimate and tender dossier for Startup Programe Estimate
The workshop is attended by EU-TCP focal point from various Departments/Agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests and officials from GNHCS.
