Wangdue Forest Division celebrates Civil Service Award Day

IMG_7548_2Wangdue Forest Division is honored and privileged to receive the medals and certificate of appreciation from His Majesty the King through the Royal Civil Service Commission.

The ceremonial function took place on Tuesday, forenoon of December 16th, 2014 in the Division Conference hall. During the function, Mr. Tashi Dendup, Offtg. Chief Forestry Officer handed the medals and certificate and congratulated all the medallions. He informed that, this is kind of acknowledging, thanking, and expressing gratitude to civil servants for serving the Tsa-Wa-Sum for so long and with so much dedication. He also stressed that, with the medals and the certificates, civil servants have now at least something that they can show at the end of their long and dedicated career services to the nation.

Mr. Phuntsho, Gold Medallion said that, “I am extremely happy to have been bestowed with this honor, getting my name on Gold Medallion list is a great honor and privilege for me and I am happy my service has paid off”. Another Silver medallion, Mr. Namgay Wangdi said that, “never in my life thought I would be here at this point for wining prestigious achievement. This is the greatest strength that I received so far and I would like to thank His Majesty the King for his kind inspiration”.

During the time, six officials received Gold medal with certificate for services of 30 years and above, three officials received Silver for services of 20 years and above, five with Bronze medal for services of 10 years and above. As such, the Wangdue Forest Division has 87 regular foresters under the Division delivering services to the public of Wangdue and Punakha Dzongkhag.
