Tsirang, 5-7 June: A three-days training on Sustainable Land Management was conducted at Tsholingkhar gewog for thirty-two participants from Tsholingkhar Toe and Maed Chewog. It was aimed to educate and train the local communities in all aspects of sustainable land management (SLM) who then can use the knowledge in sustainable crop production and combating land degradation.
Participants were introduced to various measures and technologies related to SLM practices in degraded agriculture lands and community forests. Practical exercises were also organised to provide hands-on-training to farmers.
The training was conducted with fund support from Tsholingkhar Gewog Administration and technical support from Tsirang Forest Division.
