Training on Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) is underway at the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment. The forestry extension staffs from 20 dzongkhags are attending the course.
The training is provided with the objective to provide hands on skill on GPS and GIS to field staffs. The eight days training will end with awarding certificate to the participants on 19 September 2014. The Institute is aiming to provide equal opportunities in various trainings to our extension staffs.
Similar training will be provided for the Parks and Divisional field staffs in the near future.
