February 24-27, Thimphu: The Asian Confederation of Credit Union (ACCU) and the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives (DAMC) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests is organising the four day ToT at the NRDCL hall.
The training aims to provide skills, tools and knowledge for the community leaders, extension staff and field level staff of DAMC enabling them to organise and train community leaders of credit cooperatives. DAMC is targeting to organise at least 5 credit cooperatives.
The training is being organised with the financial support of the 10 Australian credit unions that pooled funding to help Bhutan establish its credit unions.
The members from the farmers groups and cooperatives such as RORUM Credit Cooperative, Dampola Saving Group, Punakha; Berti Community Group, Zhemgang; Sonam Chithuen Detshen, Bumthang; Bee Keepers Cooperative, Bumthang and Dangreyboog Ngagang Detshen, Samtse are also attending the training.
