9 January 2017, Thimphu: The Ministry of Agriculture and Forests is conducting a 3 days induction/orientation program for those appointed to the Ministry from1 January 2017. The Orientation is being held from 9-11 January 2017.
During the 3 days induction program the new recruits will be oriented and briefed on the Ministry’s overall Vision, Mission, Mandates, and Plans and Policies under the 11th FYP for the various Departments and Non-departmental agencies under the Ministry. The new recruits will also be briefed by the Royal Civil Service Commission on concepts of Managing for Excellence (MaX) / Performance Management System; and by the Department of Culture, Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs on the importance of Driglam Namzha.
A total of 141 new recruits are attending the induction program (Department of Forests and Park Services: 51, Department of Agriculture: 45, Department of Livestock: 36 and Bhutan Agriculture Food & Regulatory Authority: 9 staff).
