It was constructed at a cost of Nu.1.4 million with funds from the Dzongkhag Development Grant and GoI Livestock Project of the Department of Livestock.
With more than 290 litres of daily milk collection, the dairy group produces and sells fresh milk and yogurt. They are also planning to produce ice-cream and other dairy products in the future. At present, the fresh milk is sold at Nu.55/litre and yogurt (200ml cup) at Nu. 22/cup.

The ceremony was graced by Dasho Dzongdag as the Chief Guest along with officials from the Dzongkhag, Regional Livestock Development Centre-Wangdue, local leaders and public.
