His Excellency the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan inaugurated the Buckwheat flour trial marketing by Langpa-Nobgang Sonam Detshen from Samar Geog in Haa on 23 November, 2014. The opening of the trial marketing has been attended by H. E. the Agriculture Minister, Secretary and heads of the different departments from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests.
The main objective of the trial marketing has been focused on making the consumers aware of the availability of the product at different locations such as B-Coop shops at main town and Motithang (above BoD). The trial marketing was organized and supported by the farmers group, Dzongkhag Agriculture Sector-Haa and DAMC.

H.E Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji, Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, inaugurated the B-COOP SHOP at Motithang, Thimphu on 22 November, 2014. The opening of the Shop is being dedicated to the 60th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the 4th Druk Gyalpo by the Ministry. The shop is second such facilities to be opened by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests for the general public in the Capital City, Thimphu. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forests has established the Outlet with the objectives of setting standards for Quality, Grading, Packaging, and Price Control and opening Market Outlets besides engagement of unemployed youths in the business.
The standard agricultural produce of the Farmers Groups and Cooperatives are to be sold through the outlet with assistance and necessary regulations by the Ministry. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forests plans to establish such other structures across the Dzongkhags in future for stimulating Cooperative growth and movement in the country. The Shop is arranged to be operated by YBC (Youth Business Cooperatives), a newly formed and registered youth group, for a first test of one year.
