• Farmers learn about Fruit Thinning and Harvesting Techniques

    wengkhar20 June 2014, RC Wengkhar: A total of 35 orchard owners completed their final round of crop management training under the Systematic Training and Orchard Development Program for the 2013-14 Financial Year.

    The current batch of orchard owners have already undergone two rounds of training- Awareness on Available Technologies and Fruit Cultivation Practices. The recent training is specifically imparted on fruit thinning and harvesting of temperate and subtropical fruit plants. The training comprised of both in-house theoretical sessions and hands – on practice in the research and farmers’ fields.

  • Training on Electronic Traceability for Agricultural Trade Facilitation and Smallholder Integration

    16 -18 June, Thimphu. A three days training on Electronic Traceability for Agricultural Trade Facilitation and Smallholder Integration was conducted with an aim to identify trade facilitation measures and building capacities of government and private sector stakeholders to promote intra-regional learning of such measures in the Asia–Pacific region. The training was organised by the Trade and Investment Division (TID) at UN- Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) and theBhutan Agriculture and Food Regulatory Authority (BAFRA).

  • Introduction and User Guidelines on E-learning Course on Ethics and Integrity

    The e-learning course on Ethics and Integrity in the Bhutanese Civil Service has been jointly introduced by the Anti-Corruption Commission, Royal Civil Service Commission and Royal Institute of Management and is mandatory for all civil servants S5 positions and above, as per the Royal Civil Service Commission.

    The HR Division as the focal agency has completed introducing the course to almost all offices and most have even completed their assignments as per deadlines. However, there are a few offices which are not yet covered even after appointment of focal persons to the respective departments. Therefore, HRD has developed a user guideline on E-learning Course attached below, so that users of these offices can have easy access to the course and get all assignments done within the set deadline:
