September 15, 2015, Thimphu: Upon successful completion of their diploma course from College of Natural Resources (CNR) and having made through the selection process as per the available slots in the Ministry, 58 fresh passouts joined the RNR family. Preparing them for their jobs, the Ministry conducted a day-long orientation for the graduates today at the NRDCL conference hall.
15 September 2015, Thimphu: The five member delegates from the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MoAC), Thailand, comprising of Mr. Sakchai Sriboonsue, Secretary General of ACFS; Mr. Chatchai Prathummal, Acting Director of Information and Technology Centre, ACFS; Mr. Apisit Prakarnkamanat, Veterinarian, Office of Commodity and System Standards Accreditation, ACFS; Ms. Patamaporn Usaha, Policy and Plant Analyst, Division of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards Policy, ACFS and Ms. Surisa Noiin, Policy and Plant Analyst, Division of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards Policy, ACFS were in the country for a period of five days from 9 to 13 September 2015.
4-6 September (Mongar), 8-10 September (Samdrup Jongkhar), 2015: The Training of Trainers (TOT) on the utilisation of Bio-slurry for Agricultural purposes for Geog Agricultural Extension Officials from three Eastern Dzongkhags was conducted by the National Organic Programme (NOP) under the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with the Bhutan Bio-gas Project under the Department of Livestock. This training programme was funded by the SNV, Bhutan. A total of 30 Geog Agricultural Extension Officials were trained with 13 participants from Mongar, 8 from Pemagatshel and 9 from Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag.
