5-6 July, Thimphu. Starting from school going children to office goers of different age groups volunteered for the tree plantation program in Kuenselphodrang which is supported by Embassy of Finland and organised by Royal Society for Protection of Nature for the rehabilitation of the burnt area. The area is a membership plantation site covering 22.758 acres of barren land after the forest fire in 2002. The membership is open to all the interested people whereby they are asked to fill up the form and a nominal membership fee according to the ‘junior’ and ‘adult’ group formed.
