  • Advisory public notification on Coronavirus

    This is to inform the general public that the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the new Coronavirus outbreak, a public health emergency of International Concern.

    In line with the advisory issued by the Ministry of Health, Royal Government of Bhutan vide notification No. PPD/PPMS-25/2019-2020 dated 30th January 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests would like to inform the general public not to import and consume food items, especially raw meat, fresh fruits and vegetables from unidentified sources across the border as the source of the virus is not established.

  • Executive Order on Coronavirus

    This is to inform all the Chiefs and Heads of Departments of the Ministry of Agriculture to be in station and refrain from all Ex-country and In-country travels till the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak is officially contained in the region and elsewhere around the world.

    Furthermore, all in-country trainings and workshops should be kept on hold till the outbreak is contained.

    29 January, Thimphu: Her Excellency Ms. Brigitte Collins, the Ambassador In charge of the Climate Change Negotiations, Renewable Energy and Prevention of Climate Risk to Bhutan called on the Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo, Yeshey Penjor.

    Extending a warm welcome to Her Excellency, Lyonpo thanked the EU Commission and member countries for their commitment to the climate change needs of the least developed countries.
