• Quotation for Air tickets

    The Livestock Products Value Addition Centre [LPVAC], Serbithang under Department of Livestock [DoL], Ministry of Agriculture and Forests [MoAF], Thimphu is pleased to invite sealed quotations from eligible Bhutanese Travel Agents, for air-tickets for the following sectors; as per the terms & conditions, below:

    1. Sealed quotation should be submitted to the LPVAC, Serbithang on or before 10 AM of 20/3//2017
    2. Sealed quotation should be addressed to Officer In-Charge, Livestock Products Value Addition Centre [LPVAC], Serbithang.
    3. Quotations received after the submission time / date will not be entertained.
    4. Bidders are requested to mention the name of airline and confirmed itinerary in the quotes.
    5. Availability of seat at the time of travel should be established before submitting the quotes.
    6. Unconditional hike in fare or change in airlines at the time of travel will not be accepted.
    7. Quoted rates should be valid for at least two months from the date of submission of bids.
    8. Quotations without sealed envelope will be disqualified.
    9. The decision of the committee will be final and binding.

  • AFACI delegation visits Bhutan

    A50X0333March 12-14: A four member delegation led by Mr. Seung Oh Yoo, Director, Technology Service Division, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) from the Republic of Korea visited Bhutan.

    During the visit, they discussed and monitored the progress of Agriculture Technology and Information Network (ATIN) and Seed Extension Projects which is funded by the Asian Food & Agriculture Cooperation Initiative (AFACI). They visited the National Seed Centre in Paro and one of its project demonstration site for wheat in Bajo. They also met with the officials at the Information Communication & Technology Division (ICTD).

  • Training on Soil and Land Management underway

    TOT - GroupMarch 13-17, Paro: A five-day in-service training on soil and land management is underway for 20 extension agents, ten each from Thimphu and Paro at Lamgong. It is being conducted by the National Soil Services Centre (NSSC), Semtokha.

    The training will focus on all aspects of soil and land management practices including soil characterisation, land evaluation, soil sampling, land and soil fertility management. Through the training, NSSC aims to educate and train extension staffs in all aspects of soil and land management who then can use the knowledge to train farmers for sustainable crop production and combating land degradation.
