  • Red Panda Conservation Workshop

    Untitled-1May 1-3, Trashigang: Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary convened first ever Red Panda Conservation workshop at Druk Deothjung Resort with a theme, “Ensuring the future of Red Panda landscape through national and regional collaboration”.

    The workshop reviewed and discussed Red Panda research conducted in Bhutan to identify knowledge gaps, research needs and management strategies. It also shared experience and knowledge on Red Panda research and management interventions implemented in the region and simultaneously exploring trans-boundary conservation need and strategies. It further discussed ways to link Bhutan to wider international Red Panda conservation network for better funding avenues and enhance conservation of Red Panda in Bhutan. The workshop will help to prepare Red Panda Conservation Action Plan at landscape level and address research gap on Red Panda Conservation.
