  • Refresher course on Artificial Insemination Techniques conducted successfully

10- 23 January, Samtse: Two weeks long refresher course for Artificial Insemination (AI) Technicians was held at Yoseltse, Samtse for 21 Livestock staff of western dzongkhags and government farms. Hence, skills of AIT have to be upgraded regularly to keep abreast with the latest and improved techniques.

Thus, the refresher course provided an opportunity for field staff to get hands on training on thawing of semen, proper loading of AI gun, application of right techniques for Artificial Insemination, preservation of frozen semen and handling of Liquid Nitrogen which is required to preserve and keep the semen viable.
