    The BLDCL is pleased to invite sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of General Equipment, Stationaries, Vehicle Maintenance & Spare Parts for the Year 2020. The complete set of bidding documents can be purchased by from Procurement Unit, BLDCL, Taba, Thimphu with payment of tender fee Nu. 500/- (Ngultrum Five hundred) only, which is non-refundable. The tender document can also be downloaded from (www.moaf.gov.bt). However, the bidder should deposit the tender fee in cash on or before the last date of sale of the tender.

  • Call for applications for the Replication Project

    The Replication Project is an initiative created by the Youth Network and managed and lead by the Executive Committee with the goal of having young people come together to start new cooperative projects. Please click this link for more information.

    If you are a young entrepreneur willing to jump into a new initiative this may be your chance. We will select at least 8 projects – 2 per ICA region – and invest a maximum of EUR 10,000 per project. We will also assign mentors that will help with the development of the project.

    According to a spokesperson, one can get all the vegetables and fruits that are available at the market at a minimal price. The team ensures that all vegetables and fruits are clean and hygienically packed making the consumers’ shopping experience convenient.

  • Ministry launched Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture program in Thimphu

    6 May, Thimphu: The Department of Agriculture (DoA) kick started the Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture program in Bebena, Thimphu by handing over 6.58 acres of land to 10 groups including 60 beneficiaries.

    According to the department, the program is being initiated as a part of the preparedness plan to ensure food security in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is aimed to produce and supply vegetables for urban markets and provide alternative employment and income generating venture to laid-off employees.
