This statistical release is based on the analysis of major crops auctioned by Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL). The head office of FCBL is located in Phuntsholing supported by three regional offices at Gelephu, Sumdrup Jongkhar and Thimphu. It has 23 depots, five retail outlets and 173 farm shops catering business and services to relevant clients across the country. The release presents volume and value of different commodities (potato, vegetables, pulses, species, citrus and other fruits) auctioned during the period from January to December 2019.

31 March Thimphu: The Druk Thuenpapuenzhi Community Forest (CF) of Dogar Gewog under Paro Dzongkhag donated Nu. 350,000 to His Majesty’s Kidu Fund. The donation was made in cash and handed over to Zimpon Wogma, Dasho Kunzang Dorji by two representatives from the Community Forest Management Group (CFMG).
When asked to the Chairperson of the group, Mr. Sangay Wangdi said that it is like a gratitude to His Majesty The King. He said that even during this COVID-19 crisis, His Majesty is travelling across the country to combat this disease for the welfare of the people and distributing food and medicines for the elderly people throughout the country.
