• Tandem workshop on “Mutually Implementation of Nagoya Protocol and ITPGRFA”

    Untitled-1Paro: A capacity building tandem workshop on “Mutually Implementation of Nagoya Protocol (NP) and the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) was organised on September 29 at Metta Resort.

    The workshop was to build national capacity and share knowledge on mutually supportive implementation interface between the NP and ITPGRFA in the context of broader national policy goals as well as to identify the core issues of the interface of the ITPGRFA and the NP. Presentations on seed system, ways to strengthen national capacity to implement the ITPGRFA and mutually supportive implementation of the Plant Treaty and Nagoya Protocol were one of the workshop highlights which were followed by case studies.

  • ARDC Wengkhar conducts its annual writeshop 2016-2017

    Untitled-1October 2-6, Mongar: A total of 45 participants from ARDC Wengkhar and its sub-centres, Fruit Incubation Centre, NPHC Lingmethang and CARLEP are attending the annual writeshop to document research papers and other documentations from the past year as well as to enhance proper documentation and information dissemination.

    The writeshop will finalise papers in various themes such as climate change, crop conservation, organic farming research, extension methodology, models for entrepreneurship promotion, crop intensification and commercialisation of farming targeted to be published in both national and international journals including in the Ministry’s and CARLEP’s websites. It targets to compile a total of 29 different papers and publish later this year for wider dissemination.
