This is to inform that the Royal civil Service Commission (RCSC) in collaboration with the Royal Institute of Governance and Strategic Studies (RIGSS), Phuntsholing will be institutionalizing a Young Professional Leadership Programme (YPLP) from this year (April, 2016) for Civil Servants.
YPLP is a four week residential, middle management leadership development program targeted at P3 position holders to prepare them for future leadership positions.
During the four week program, participants will acquire new skills, mindsets and competencies relevant for a future-ready Bhutan. Participants will be involved in workshops, group assignments and lectures, and work together with fellow participants to solve real-world problems confronting Bhutan. The final week of the program comprises a specially designed outdoors team building component, a four days three nights trek on the Druk Path.
To be eligible for the YPLP, candidates must be:
- Mid-career professional at P3 level;
- Below 40 years of age;
- Available to attend the programme for four weeks on a full time basis.
For the first YPLP, RCSC has selected 30 candidates (including 10 standby) from the pool of PGDPA/PGDFM/PGDNA and technical graduates based on their performance in BCSE of the respective years. The list of the selected candidates will be sent subsequently.
In addition, because of the strenuous nature of the Druk Path trek, candidates must be physically fit and free from medical conditions that would normally preclude them from participating in such a trek. Candidates who are medically unfit will be excluded from the selection.
The course fee, accommodation, meals and local transport shall be borne by the RCSC.
The RCSC would like to seek your full support in institutionalizing the YPLP from this year and in sending the candidates selected.
