Paro, April 10, 2015: The Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB) and the EU Commission signed the Financial Agreement of EU-Technical Cooperation Project (TCP) in support of RNR Sector on August, 2014 and accordingly the EU Delegation, New Delhi, India has approved the Start-up Programme Estimate to be implemented from March- June 2015. One of the key activities to be implemented in the Start-up Programme Estimate is to conduct a Project Inception workshop for better preparation of the first Operational Programme Estimates.
As per the approved Start-up Programme Estimate, the Project Coordination Unit in collaboration with the National Authorizing Office, Gross National Happiness Commission Secretariat (GNHCS) is conducting three days Project Inception workshop from 9th-11th April, 2015 at Namsay Choieling Resort in Paro.
The objective and the expected outcomes of the workshop are to create awareness on the Project to all the stakeholders, discuss and review the HR training requirements for each Department/Agency, discuss on training priority, resource availability, and review the Project Document/log framework. The outcome of this workshop will go as input for preparation of the first and second Operational Programme Estimates.
The workshop is attended by EU-TCP focal point from various Departments/Agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests and officials from GNHCS.
