October 25, Thimphu: Dr. Roberto Troya, Vice President, WWF and Regional Director of Latin America and the Caribbean and Director for WWF US offices in Nepal, Bhutan and Namibia called on the Hon’ble Advisor to Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF), Dasho Penjore.
Welcoming the delegation, Dasho commended that WWF has been the one of the main partners for Bhutan in strengthening environmental conservation. He highlighted the exemplary partnership between Bhutan and WWF on Bhutan For Life.
Talking about the long standing cooperation between Bhutan and WWF, Dr. Roberto congratulated and appreciated Bhutan’s environmental conservation initiatives which could be replicated by other countries.
Dasho Penjore and Dr. Roberto discussed on a range of opportunities and issues concerning development and environmental conservation in Bhutan.
Dr. Roberto is in the country to oversee and discuss programmatic and administration matters of WWF Bhutan and further plan Conservation Strategy for the next 5 years.
