17 January 2017, Wengkhar: Twenty participants from various Divisional field offices are currently undergoing a four day basic GPS and GIS handling Trainer of Trainee program at Wengkhar, Mongar Dzongkhag. The training which began on Monday will go on to January 19, 2017.
The training organised by the Mongar Forest Division and chaired by the CFO of the Mongar Forest Division is fully funded by NAPA (National Adaptation Program of Action).
The main objective of the training program is to provide hands on training to field workers and subsequently enhance their skills and knowledge on GPS handling and GIS mapping techniques, which is highly useful to ensure proper planning and better decision making at every level.
