Participants were briefed on livestock interventions based on the Dzogkhag’s Annual Performance Agreement targets for 2015-16. They visited the commercial, semi commercial and backyard fishery farms in vicinity almost touring about one hour. The farms were categorised depending on the pond size. They also got an opportunity to witness different type of fishes cultured by fishery farmers through casting of nets.

Farmers also displayed smoked fish for sale which was an attraction to the gathering. More than sixty packets of smoked fish were sold on the day at reasonable prices. Participants shared that smoked fish would have a good market both within Dzongkhag and outside considering its good quality. Farmers were asked to maintain same standard of quality for its products.
