Thimphu, August 13: The Governor of the Royal Monetary Authority (RMA), Dasho Penjore joined the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF) as the Advisor of the Interim Government.
Dasho Penjore is a recipient of Druk Thuksey in recognition for his contributions as the RMA Governor in 2017. He served for 17 years in various capacities at RMA and became the deputy governor in 2006. He then served as the Gyalpoi Zimpon for seven years. He was conferred the red scarf in 2008. He has a Masters degree in Economics from Northeastern University Boston, USA and B.Com. (Honours) from Delhi University.
The Interim Government was formed after the dissolution of the National Assembly to ensure the functions of the government and shall cease to exist when the new Prime Minister takes office.
