Samtse: In order to apply the modern biotechnology efficiently for the better benefit of dairy farmers, three weeks long training for 10 community artificial insemination (AI) technicians was held from 11 February to 5 March 2019 at Tading.
The hands-on-training was provided on right procedure/techniques to artificially inseminate cattle. Besides, lessons on animal reproduction and breeding added knowledge and skills of the participants to carry forward AI task for their community confidently. All accessories required for carrying out AI was also provided.
The training was funded by RDCCRP and organised by National Dairy Research and Development Centre (NDRDC), Yusipang in collaboration with Regional Livestock Development Centre, Tshimasham and Dzongkhag Livestock Sector, Samtse.
