11-13 May, Paro: The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research (UWICER) and the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) has been implementing the project “Sloping lands in transition: Participatory research on landscape management for forest ecosystem service provision and adaptation-SLANT” supported by Government of Austria since 2016.
As part of the final phase of the project, a write-shop was conducted by UWICER and CIFOR to synthesize the results of the project and prepare materials for dissemination to policy makers, forestry professionals and the communities of the research sites. Another objective of the write-shop was to review the overall project experiences and to chalk out the activities for the second phase of the project.
