    In continuation to letter No. HRD/MoAF/SEC/2/4484 dated 29 May, 2013 and as discussed during the 183rd and 184th HRC Meeting, the Departments/Agencies are once again requested to adhere to the following procedures while proposing the training nominations. The Departments/agencies shall not submit eleventh hour proposal training nominations to avoid unnecessary mistakes/lapses by the HRMD.

    In order to avoid such lapses and also in compliance to the BCSR 2012 training rules, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests hereby once again informed all concerned Departments/Agencies to follow the following prescribed procedures:

  • Four power tillers for Gasa dzongkhag

    A50X969729 – 31 May, Gasa: The Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji handed over four power tillers to the gewog RNR extension agents in the presence of Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Khatoe-Lunana constituency, Dasho Dzongda, and gups of their respective gewogs on 30 May morning. Hon’ble Minister said that the main objectives of distributing power tillers are to ease the hardships faced by the farmers, enhance agricultural production and address the issue of farm labour shortage. Further, Hon’ble urged the farmers to make most out of the power tillers and strive towards enhancing production.

    The chairman of Dzongkhag Tshogdu (DT) of Gasa dzongkhag thanked the government on behalf of the people of the dzongkhag. He said that the power tillers will not only help the farmers in tilling their land but also during emergencies.

    May 24, Samtse: The Hon’ble Prime Minister for Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay initiated the ground breaking ceremony of Sherubling-Buka Farm Road in Tading geog. The ceremony was attended by the Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Yeshey Dorji; Hon’ble Minister for Information and Communications, D N Dhungyel, Members of Parliament from Samtse along with the Project Director and Engineer for Remote Rural Communities Development Project (RRCDP); officials and locals.

  • Invitation for RENEW Food Festival

    The Friends of RENEW Core  Group  Members on  behalf  of RENEW is organising a RENEW Food Festival  from  31  May  to  1,  2 June  2015 in  Thimphu, Clock  Tower premises. Besides being  a fundraising event for  RENEW Women Fund,  the  food festival is also  part of RENEW’s initiative to commemorate the  60th  Birth  anniversary of  His  Majesty  the  4th Druk  Gyalpo. Simultaneously 2015 also  marks the  completion of  lO  years of RENEW’s existence. Therefore, the  festival is anopportunity for RENEW to mark the  accomplishments and  also  use the  platform to fundraise.

    Through the  food  festival, RENEW would like  to  offer  Bhutanese an  option of tasting various cuisines while enjoying time  with  friends and  family.  RENEW Food  festival will  have  numerous stalls selling  a mix  of cuisines, so  that  people not  only  benefit from  enjoying the  food  but  also learn  about the  culture of food.  The  event is being  organized to  purely fundraise for  RENEW to continue serving the  marginalized women and  children with  RENEW’s  core  relief  and  support services.
