  • Budget Call Notification for FY 2017-18

    The Department of National Budget, Ministry of Finance, has issued the Budget Call Notification for the FY 2017-18 vide letter No.MoF/Budget Call/2017-18/585 dated 9th January 2017 for submission of budget proposals by the budgetary bodies.

    I would like to request all our Departments/Agencies to submit the proposals in line with the budget preparation guidelines.

  • Guideline for Paperless Operations in Government Offices

    In the line with the Government’s initiative to go paperless, the National Environment Commission adopted the Guideline for Institutionalizing Paperless Operations in Government Offices during its 43rd Meeting held on August 6, 2016.

    The Guideline provides general and specific tips and recommendations for deploying paperless initiatives across the offices of the Royal Government of Bhutan. The guideline is based on the Life Cycle Assessment done in three offices of Office of the Prime Minister & Cabinet, DITT, MoIC and NECS and also a study on paper consumption in 18 government offices conducted by the Department of National Properties in 2013 which revealed manifold benefits on environmental, economical and sustainability dimensions.

  • MoAF initiates 1 window bill payment system

    The Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF) have introduced the 1 window bill payment (1WBP) system starting 1 December 2016.

    The initiative is to create a respective customer service, boost efficiency and establish accountability. It will also set trends in delivery of services and contribute to promoting ‘rule of law’.

    The counter located at the Administration and Finance Division of the Ministry currently caters to a single source of payment of bills pertaining to goods, services and works which is centrally executed. All the departments and agencies have now been directed to direct the suppliers to submit the bills to 1WBP and collect the payment from same counter. The Ministry has developed service standard and checklist to ensure its sustainability.
