  • 25 April 2018: Government Holiday- Zhabdrung Kuchoe

    Zhabdrung-Ngawang-NamgyelAll Government offices and schools in the Kingdom of Bhutan will be closed on Wednesday 25 April 2018 to observe the Death Anniversary of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, the Unifier of Bhutan.

    Zhabdrung Kuchoe is observed on the tenth day of the third Bhutanese month. Zhabdrung Nawang Namgyel entered into meditation when he was 58 for 12 years at the Puna Dewai Chenpoi Phodrang in 1651.

    The EU-TCP, Policy and planning Division, Ministry of Agriculture & Forest invites sealed bids from interested national travel/ticketing agents having valid license. The detail information regarding the terms and condition can be downloaded at free of cost or may be collected from EUTCP, PPD.

    The Sealed quotation must be submitted in hard copy on or before 17/4/2018 by11.00 AM and the same will be opened on the same day at 11.30 AM (BST) in presence of the interested bidders or their representative in the chamber of the Imprest Administrator, MoAF. The preference shall be given to the bidder offering the cheapest and the most direct route with confirmed booking on the specified date of travel.

  • 5th AFACI General Assembly held in Laos PDR

    1April 3-5: The fifth Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative (AFACI) General Assembly was held in Laos PDR at Lao Plaza Hotel, Vientiane. It was organised by the Rural Development Administration (RDA) and National Agriculture and Forestry Institute (NAFRI) of Laos PDR.

    The Assembly shared the AFACI project progress and discussed future direction to increase performance of each project. It was attended by more than 90 delegates including the Minister, vice Ministers and other signatories from its member countries and RDA, Korea. Representatives from its partner organisations, Korean Embassy in Laos PDR, KOICA and KOPIA Centres also attended it.
