    UNDP supported GEF-LDCF financed RGoB Project on ‘Enhancing Sustainability and Climate Resilience of Forest and Agricultural Landscapes and Community Livelihoods in Bhutan

    The Policy and Planning Division, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests would like to invite Expression of Interest (EOI) for the post of National Consultant to be recruited for MoAF Thimphu for 60 working days.

    The consulting services to be commissioned as part of GEF-LDCF financed project supported by UNDP shall include conducting an analytical review to identify gaps, conflicts and inconsistencies in existing sectoral and inter-sectoral policy, planning and legal frameworks for developing climate-resilient integrated landscape management and climate resilient communities including investment policy.

  • 5 June 2018: Pedestrians’ Day

    world-environment-day2Tuesday, 5 June 2018: As per the directives of the Government, every year the World Environment Day is observed as Pedestrians’ Day in Bhutan. Therefore, this is to notify all concerned that tomorrow 5 June 2018 is Pedestrians’ Day, when the vehicle traffic is limited in city centres. The exception is given to emergency and public transport.

  • Annual Review Meeting Between Maejo University and MoAF

    Untitled-1Thimphu, 27 April, 2018– A Seven member delegation led by Dr. Chamnian Yosraj, President of Maejo University, Changmai, Thailand visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests from 24-27th April, 2018 to attend the annual review meeting for the Master’s and Short-term Advanced training implemented by the Ministry and Maejo University under the EU –Technical Cooperation Project in Support of RNR Sector funded by the European Union.

    The review meeting was chaired by His Excellency the Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. His Excellency thanked Maejo University for implementing the training as per the plan and schedule. His Excellency also informed that opportunities should be taken by both Maejo University and the Ministry to further the existing collaboration between the two institutions.
