  • Invitation for Expression of Interest

    Qualified Bhutanese Universities/Institutes/Consulting Firms are invited to e-mail Expression of Interest (EOI) to carry out the following studies to Karpo Dukpa, Bhutan Philanthropy Ventures (BPV) at karpo@bpvbhutan.com. These should be no more than three pages and include: (1) a brief description of the firm; (2) descriptions of at least two relevant projects completed by the firm and (3) details of qualified in-house personnel proposed for the Study Team.

  • MoAF Secretary on tour to monitor the Economic Contingency Plan progress

    The Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF) officials led by the Hon’ble Secretary is on a tour to monitor the progress of the Economic Contingency Plan (ECP) of the agriculture and livestock sectors. The first round of Dzongkhag’s visit includes Tsirang, Dagana, Trongsa and Zhemgang from 1-11 December. The visit to other Dzongkhags will commence after 17 December.

    The team visited Tsirang on 1-2 December. The Secretary informed the farmers and villagers that in this pandemic situation, it is important for all of us to work together under the visionary leadership of His Majesty The King towards food self-sufficiency.

  • ToT on Farmer’s Business Game Simulation

    20 October, Zhemgang: 15 young graduates and officials from Rural Development Training Center (RDTC) are attending the 10 days virtual ToT on the Farmer’s Business Game simulation at RDTC Zhemgang starting 20th October 2020. The Farmer’s Business Game (FBG) designed by Sparkassenstiftung have become an international brand for innovative interactive learning experience since 1990. It is a board-based business game targeted to raise financial literacy of small holder farmers, emerging farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs, thus increasing their bankability, access to finance and increase quality of life.

    The objectives of the FBG are to impart basic economic knowledge of all influencing factors, especially in terms of agricultural business, understand what entrepreneurial thinking and acting means and apply it throughout the simulation, understand basic accounting and controlling principles and apply simple tools and realize market dynamics and competition.

  • Invitation for expression of interest

    Expressions of interest are sought from national qualified Universities/Institutes/Consulting Firms to carry out a Study on Opportunities for Green and Climate Smart Technologies Employment and Business Development in Bhutan”. The study duration is 3 calendar months and is intended to commence first week of December 2020.

    The expected Outputs to be delivered are:  (1) a Draft and Final Inception Report including methodology and workplan scheduling; (2) presentation of an Inception Plan to Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (lead agency) and Department of Local Government (on site or through Web-Ex/Zoom conference); (3) Monthly Interim Progress Updates (presentations and short reports); (4) Draft and Final Research Study Reports.

  • EoI Invitation for MTMT under Youth Employment and Rural Entrepreneurship Project

    The Ministry of Agriculture and Forests with the financial support of Japan Social Development Fund has received financing from the Work Bank toward the cost of Youth Employment and Rural Entrepreneurship.

    The Project Management Unit under the Policy and Planning Division, MoAF would like to seek expression of interested from training institutes/firms to provide Mobile Training and Mentoring Team (MTMT) services in establishing Youth-Led Enterprises in six Dzongkhags: Chukha, Dagana, Haa, Samtse, Trongsa and Wangdue. The selected MTMT is expected to perform training activities and mentoring services to youths between age group of 18-35 years old and provide support to both pre-existing youth-led enterprises and establishment of new youth-led enterprises

    Therefore, interested institutes/firms are requested to submit Expression of Interest (Sealed Envelope) latest by 6th October 2020 on or before 2 pm and it will be opened on the same day at 2:30 pm.
