  • New Director for Directorate appointed

    May 4, Thimphu: Mr. Rabgye Tobden has been appointed as the new Director for Directorate under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF). Prior to his present post, he served as the Sr. Drungpa in Chukha.

    Mr. Rabgye joined the civil service in 1992 in the Education Department. He has a Masters degree in Education from St. Francis Xavier University in Canada and a Bachelors degree from the National Institute of Education, Samtse.

  • 2 Day Policy Workshop on VeGoTs begins

    8 May 2017, Thimphu: The Policy Workshop for Vegetable Go to School Project (VeGoTs) is going on from today for 2 days at Hotel Le Meredien in Thimphu. On the first day the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Lyonpo Norbu Wangchuk and the Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Forests, Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji also attended. You can click on the picture on the left to enlarge showing the key participants of the project.

    Participants included teacher and student representatives; officials of MoE, MoH and MoAF; and the media. Presentations were made on the VeGoTs Project and Policy Brief; Impact Assessment of the Project; School Gardens for Nutrition and Health; and the Global Scenario of Integrated Approach.
