  • Unclaimed Google Account

    In follow up to our earlier announcement regarding the Unclaimed google account for P4/P5 level officials under the Ministry, the Information and Communication Technology Division would like to again request the concerned officials (list given in the link below) to contact ICTD(it@moaf.gov.bt) for their google apps credentials by 8th Sept, 2017. Those unclaimed account by the given date will be deleted and allocate to officials of other agency in other ministry.

  • Man sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for trying to kill musk deer in WCNP

    IMG_0323Bumthang: Bumthang District Court sentenced a 50-year old man from Khoma, Lhuentse to 3 years imprisonment for attempting to kill musk deers (Moschus leucogaster) in Wangchuck Centennial National Park (WCNP).

    The man was also charged for ‘escape from lawful custody’ after he eluded from the Park’s custody. He was also convicted in 2014 for killing and trading 7 musk deers and a bear. His second forest offence grades his crime as felony of fourth degree as per the Penal Code of Bhutan 2004.

  • Protected Area Management Planning Training Workshop at PNP

    PNP_mgt planning_group picAugust 17-19: Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research (UWICER) conducted three days training workshop on Protected Area (PA) management planning at Phrumsengla National Park (PNP). Twelve park officials from Ura Park Head Office, Western Park Range (Ura, Bumthang), Central Park Range (Lingmethang, Mongar) and Eastern Park Range (Phawan, Lhuntse) attended it.

    The training introduced the park officials to the international standards of good management planning cycle, steps of sound management planning and requirements for successful preparation and implementation of management plans. It is the first of its kind to be conducted for PNP park officials by UWICER. The officials expressed this training workshop as one of its first kind that they are attending in their service tenure under PAs.

  • DoL signs APA with its Field Offices

    A50X1320August 18, Thimphu: In order to establish clarity about annual priorities, provide an objective and fair basis for evaluating the overall performance, the Department of Livestock (DoL) signed the annual performance agreements (APA) with the head of its field offices. The signing was graced by the Hon’ble Agriculture Secretary along with the Division Chiefs, Program Directors, Regional Mangers, Managers and other senior officials.

    With the signing, the Department have ensure to work towards achieving the self-reliance in livestock products, promote breed improvement, enhance livestock service delivery, reduce import of livestock products and promote green livestock farming among many others.
