As assigned to organize Hands on Training on Electric Fence Systems for six Eastern Dzongkhags, RNR RDC Wengkhar started practical trainings on Electric Fence Systems for Lhuntshe Dzongkhag from 29th Aug 2014 to 4th Sep 2014 . Organized at Chatrong village in Jarey gewog in collaboration with Dzongkhag Agriculture sector Lhuntshe, a week long training was participated by eight Agriculture Extension Officers of Lhuntshe Dzongkhag and 12 beneficiary farmers of Chatrong village, where a community based electric fencing was installed as a part of the training. The training was also attended by local leaders in the gewog.

As per the annual work plan (2013-14) of the Rangeland Unit, NCAN Bumthang, the first fodder station in high altitude area in Bhutan was established at Gyentsa under Sephu Geog in Wangdue Dzongkhag in June 2014. The fodder station development program was being implemented in close collaboration with the Dzongkhag Livestock sector, Wangdue under Laya –Sephu project through funding support from Bhutan Trust for Environment Conservation (BTFEC). Gyentsa is officially two days walk from Sephu and located at an altitude of 3700 metres above sea level. Seven households who own yak from Longtey village are the main beneficiaries and engaged in developing fodder station with technical support from the NCAN.

On 5th September, 2014, the National Task Force for the revision of National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plan (NBSAP) presented the final draft NBSAP to the Environment and Urban Development Committee (EUDC) of the National Assembly and Natural Resources and Environment Committee (NREC) of the National Council.
The objective of the presentation was to create awareness and update the members of the parliament on the revised NBSAP. It was also to receive feedback and comments to strengthen the strategic action plan.
