  • Seventy seven new graduates join RNR Sector

    The new graduates with Hon'ble Lyonpo and senior officialsJanuary 22, Thimphu: Seventy seven new graduates joined the RNR Sector this year. Out of 77, two has been placed under the Directorate Services, one in RDTC, 28 in DoA, 20 in DoFPS, 24 in DoL and two in BAFRA.

    Prior to the joining, the graduates attended an orientation program from January 10-12. Besides introduction to the cultural and organisational values, the graduates were briefed on the Ministry’s overall vision, mission, mandates, plans, policies and issues under the various Departments and Agencies.

  • G Suite Training Conducted

    Pics3Information & Communication Technology Division(ICTD) in collaboration with DITT, MoIC has conducted customized introductory/refresher courses on G suite application for around 80 registered users in MoAF conference hall oPics1n 15th January, 2018. This training will enhance and acquire skills on G suite and provide officials with knowledge on effective usage of Gsuites at workplace.

    It is a suite of web-based messaging and collaboration applications that Google hosts on their own servers. Google provides these applications as a “service,” rather than as software.

  • Dry land irrigation scheme for Langpa-Nobgang

    CaptureJanuary 14, Haa: A ground breaking ceremony for much awaited dry land irrigation scheme for Langpa-Nobgang village under Samar gewog was held at Langpa. It was attended by the representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Dzongkhag Agriculture Sector along with members from Langpa-Nobgang Water User Association (WUA).

    The representatives visited the water source located some 15km away from village along with the WUA members who were empowered to monitor the construction through a written by-laws and take ownership of the irrigation scheme from the beginning itself.

  • MoAF received 353 power tillers from Government of Japan

    A50X7622January 10, Paro: His Excellency Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, the Ambassador, Embassy of Japan in New Delhi handed over 353 power tillers worth approximately Nu. 137 million to Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo under the general grand aid ‘The Project for the improvement of Farm Machinery for Hiring Services of Tillage’.

    Bhutan has been the recipient of KR II Grant for almost 40 years and has received 3186 power tillers till date.
