  • Trashigang Tour by Hon’ble MoAF Lyonpo

    tgang418 February 2017, Trashigang: The Hon’ble MoAF Minister inaugurated the 8.8 Km Yarbang Farm Road, Phongmey gewog, Trashigang. The farm road which was supported by GoI through SDP grants will benefit 86 households of Yarbang chiwog and the neighbouring chiwog of Phemsong. He interacted with the farmers and encouraged them to work rigorously to boost their household income.

    In the afternoon, he visited Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary and the Farm Shop in Phongmey and met with the staff. He also inspected the ongoing Phongmey Central School construction and then left to Norgenthang FMCL farm site to review the progress made till now.

  • Hon’ble MoAF Lyonpo Visit to Trashiyangtse

    yangtse117 February 2017, Trashiyangtse: Hon’ble Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji, Minister for Agriculture and Forests, handed over a large power tiller each to Yangtse, Toedtso and Ramjar gewogs, and 5 mini power tillers to the gewogs of Bumdeling, Tongshang, Yalang, Jamkhar and Khamdang at Wongringmu.

  • Third batch of Dzongkha Unicode training underway

    IMG_0554February13-20, Phuentsholing: As per the requirement of the Dzongkha Development Policy to promote Dzongkha language, Information and Communication Services (ICS) is organising eight days training on official correspondences with Unicode at GPY Computer Training Institute in Phuentsholing.

    Thirteen officials from various offices under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests are attending. The training will familiarise the participants on Dzongkha keyboard, learn how to make correspondences in Dzongkha including letter writing, grammar, spelling, officer orders, advertisement, translation among others. They will also learn Dzongkha Microsoft Office to help them carry out daily correspondences in Dzongkha.
