  • 2nd May 2017: Birth Anniversary of 3rd Druk Gyalpo- National Holiday

    3rd_KingMay 2 is a Public holiday in Bhutan. It is the Birth Anniversary of the Third King of Bhutan. It is also celebrated as Teachers’ Day because it was the Third Druk Gyalpo who began the modernisation of the country and established a modern educational system.

    Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the Third Dragon King of Bhutan, was born on May 2, 1929. He succeeded to the throne in 1952, following the death of his father Jigme Wangchuck. The new Druk Gyalpo immediately began to take steps toward modernisation of Bhutan.

  • Short term training under TICA

    The Ministry would like to announce the following Short term training under TICA which was forwarded by the RCSC. The eligible candidates can apply directly to the concern Departments for the nominations and onward submission to the HRD, MoAF for further necessary action latest by12 May, 2017.For further details, please refer the following mail forwarded by RCSC.

    The RCSC is in receipt of the following short term training offer from the AITC/TICA, Thailand through MFA, Thimphu. The fellowship is fully funded by TICA, therefore, candidates shall not be eligible for any % of DSA from RGoB side. Kindly update the training details of the candidates in the CSIS after the completion of this training:
