  • Ultrasonography and Radiology training for Veterinarians underway

    March 12-17, Thimphu: The National Veterinary Hospital (NVH) is organising a week long training-workshop for veterinarians on Ultrasonography and Radiology in small animals at NVH, Motithang. The radio-imaging expert, Dr. Nicolette Hayward, the Director from the Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Ltd, UK is the resource person. Three ultrasonography machines were provided for the training purpose by Mr. Sudarshan Girdhar, Sales Accounts Manager with IMV Imaging, India Pvt. Limited.

    The training will impart the veterinarians with necessary knowledge and practical skills to use advanced diagnostic tools such as ultrasonography and x-ray machines for rapid and accurate disease diagnosis in animals. With increasing demand for advanced veterinary clinical services, it is high time that services provided at the animal health centres are also upgraded. More importantly, such diagnostic tools help in making accurate diagnosis, thereby increasing the efficacy of treatment.
