  • Deadline extension for submission of EoI

    The Watershed Management Division, Department of Forests and Park Services, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests would like to inform that there have been change in deadline for submission  of EoI.

    1. National consultants should submit by Feb 1, 2016 before 2.00 PM
    2. International consultants should submit by Feb 11, 2016 before 2.00 PM

  • Vacancy for enumerators for conducting survey at UWICE

    The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment, Lamai Goempa, Bumthang is pleased to hire 10 numbers of enumerators for conducting water scarcity survey, and assessment of Community vulnerability and adaptation capacity in Kurichu Watershed under the EU-Global Climate Change Alliance supported project.

    The hired enumerators will be engaged in conducting survey in two gewogs of Gangzur and Khengkhar in Lhuntse and Mongar Dzongkhags. The survey will tentatively last for around one month duration starting from 12 Feb, 2016.

  • Notice Inviting Expression of Interest

    The Watershed Management Division, Department of Forests and Park Services, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests would like to hire two individual consultants (one international and one national) for carrying out studies on ‘ drivers of deforestation and degradation and the barriers to conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks’ for the REDD+ program.

    In this regard, we would like to invite ‘Expression of Interest’ for carrying out the above consultancy services from the eligible consultants (National and International).

  • CFMG and NWFP Workshop held

    Untitled-2January 18-19, Paro: The Dzongkhag Administration in Paro organised it’s annual Community Forest Management Group (CFMG) and Non-Wood Forests Product (NWFP) workshop. The workshop was chaired by Mr. Gyeltshen Drukpa, Chief Forestry Officer of the Social Forestry & Extension Division of Department of Forests and Park Services.

    The workshop provided an opportunity for the committee members to discuss their problems and to seek instant directions. The workshop reviewed the progress report including challenges encountered during implementation of Community Forest Management plans. Further, the participants were informed that only few committee members had initiated monitoring utilisation of timbers allotted from Community Forests (CF) and thus it was decided that the trend be followed by rest of the CF committee members.
