  • Invitation for Bids


    1. The Royal Government of Bhutan has received a credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of Remote Rural Communities Development Project (RRCDP) and intends to apply a part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contracts for construction of works as detailed below. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011. Bidders from Bhutan should, however, be registered with the Construction Development Board (CDB). Bidders are advised to note the minimum qualification criteria specified in Clause 4 of the Instructions to Bidders to qualify for the award of the contract.

  • Inauguration of farmers hostel

    UntitledA new training hostel for farmers and staff was formally inaugurated by HE Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji on 08/02/2016 at RNR RDSC Lingmethang. It was constructed at a total cost of NU. 7.139 million with support of MAGIP, IFAD. With the construction of the hostel, it is expected to benefit farmers coming to the centre for training programs and study tours. Every year more than 300 farmers visit the centre.

  • Integrated Horticulture Promotion Project launched

    DSC_1648February 4, Thimphu: Honble Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and His Excellency Kenji Hiramatsu; Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan launched the Integrated Horticulture Promotion Project (IHHP) at Research and Development Center Bajo to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Bhutan and Japan.

    The launching of IHPP project signified the continued commitment of the Japanese Government to support the development of agriculture in Bhutan and for further deepening of the Bhutan-Japan cooperation.
