    The National Post Harvest Centre, DoA, MoAF Paro is pleased to announce the following vacancy:

    The interested applicants fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility criteria may apply to the Food Incubation Center Goling, (Zhemgang), FIC Dagapela (Dagana) and FIC Shumar (Pemagatshel) latest by 26 May, 2017. Applicants with relevant trainings and work experiences shall be given preferences for the purpose of short listing. Please note that only the shortlisted candidates will be called for selection interview. The selection interview deadline will be provided in the website at www.moaf.gov.bt or call 08272406/08271493 for clarification. The following documents must be produced along with the applications:

    1. Dully filled employment form (RCSC)
    2. Valid security clearance certificate (status report: is printable online)
    3. Medical fitness certificate
    4. A copy of citizenship identity card
    5. Any other certificates of experiences/excellence if there is any

  • 2 Day Policy Workshop on VeGoTs begins

    sap_vegots8 May 2017, Thimphu: The Policy Workshop for Vegetable Go to School Project (VeGoTs) is going on from today for 2 days at Hotel Le Meredien in Thimphu. On the first day the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Lyonpo Norbu Wangchuk and the Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Forests, Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji also attended. You can click on the picture on the left to enlarge showing the key participants of the project.

    Participants included teacher and student representatives; officials of MoE, MoH and MoAF; and the media. Presentations were made on the VeGoTs Project and Policy Brief; Impact Assessment of the Project; School Gardens for Nutrition and Health; and the Global Scenario of Integrated Approach.

    May 8-9, Mongar: Following the development of a manual on the ‘Staggered Vegetable Production’ by Horticulture Sector of the Agriculture Research and Development Centre (ARDC), Wengkhar under the CARLEP’s funding, a two day training for the 30 selected Geog Agriculture Extension Officers (GAEOs) of the six eastern Dzongkhags has started.
