    The National Soil Services Center (NSSC) under Department of Agriculture (DoA), MoAF invites sealed quotations from authorized ticketing agents for travel as per the terms and conditions specified below:

    Paro – Bhopal (India) 14th August 2016 2 PAX; Economy Class
    Bhopal (India) – Paro 24th August 2016
    1. Sealed quotation shall be submitted to the National Soil Services Center, Department of Agriculture on or before 28th July 2016 on or before 1.00 PM.
    2. Sealed quotation should be addressed to the Program Director, NSSC, Department of Agriculture, MoAF, Simtokha.
    3. The quotation will be opened on the same day at 2.30 PM.
    4. Quotations received after the submission date and time will not be entertained.
    5. Bidders are requested to mention the name of airline and confirmed itineraries in the quotes.
    6. Availability of seat at the time of travel should be established before submitting the quotes.
    7. Unconditional hike in fare or change in airlines at the time of travel will not be accepted.
    8. Quoted rates should be valid for at least a month.
    9. Bidders should submit valid Ticketing License issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
    10. Quotations without sealed envelope will be disqualified.
    11. Bidders are requested not to quote for budget airlines.
    12. The decision of the tender committee will be final and binding.

  • IRRI Deputy Director General for Research visits RDC-Bajo

    Untitled-1The association between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Bhutan and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) dates back to 1984. This association continued actively till 2000 during which Bhutan immensely benefitted in terms of technical support, access to technologies and human resource development in rice research and development.

    To further strengthen the linkages between two institutes, Dr. Jacqueline Hughes, Deputy Director General for Research, IRRI, Philippines and Dr. Uma Shanker Singh from Country Office, India paid a short visit to Bhutan from the 10-13 July 2016. The visit was to revive and strengthen the collaboration between IRRI and Bhutan in rice research and development. The delegates discussed on the possibility of reinforcing the ties by signing a formal memorandum of understanding between two organisations during the meeting with the Agriculture Director General and senior officials held at Thimphu on 11 July 2016.
