  • Agriculture Commodities auctioned/exported in 2014

    The following quantities of different agriculture commodities were auctioned and exported to India and third countries amounting to a value of Nu. 2.65 Billion, in 2014. In addition, a total of around Nu. 390 millions worth of non-wood forest products were also exported which includes cordyceps, matsutake mushrooms etc. Except for the potato and vegetable auction data which were collected from FCB and Serzang Agriculture Marketing Services, all the data are from Bhutan Trade Statistics, 2014.

    April 16, Paro: The handing-taking ceremony of 239 power tillers worth approximately Ngultrum 65 million from the Government of Japan to the Royal Government of Bhutan received under the KR – II grant assistance was formally graced by His Excellence Lyonchhoen Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister of Bhutan and Mr. Kikuta Yutaka, the Hon’ble Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan, New Delhi, India.

  • The Taklai irrigation channel inaugurated

    Hon’ble MoAF lyonpo with the representatives of Japan

    April 15, Gelephu: The Hon’ble Agriculture Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji accompanied by Mr. Yamakoshi, Counsellor of Japanese Embassy, New Delhi and other officials from Japan inaugurated the Taklai irrigation channel in Chuzargang geog. The rehabilitation of Taklai irrigation project was financed through the grant aid from the Japanese government.
