The particular land was found most appropriate for crop production under rain fed condition by using farm mechanization available on hire for the farming communities with the support from Regional Agriculture Machinery Centre (RAMC), Samteling (Bhur) under the Department of Agriculture (DoA).

    4-6 September (Mongar), 8-10 September (Samdrup Jongkhar), 2015: The Training of Trainers (TOT) on the utilisation of Bio-slurry for Agricultural purposes for Geog Agricultural Extension Officials from three Eastern Dzongkhags was conducted by the National Organic Programme (NOP) under the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with the Bhutan Bio-gas Project under the Department of Livestock. This training programme was funded by the SNV, Bhutan. A total of 30 Geog Agricultural Extension Officials were trained with 13 participants from Mongar, 8 from Pemagatshel and 9 from Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag.
