    March 30, 2017, Thimphu: Hon’ble Minister for Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji chaired the Advocacy Meeting on (BhutanGAP). The meeting organised by BAFRA was attended by the stakeholders comprising of all the Departments and Agencies within the Ministry and also other stakeholders including representatives of Farmers’ Cooperatives nearby Thimphu.

  • Notification: Retail Prices for Imported Indian Green Chillies

    Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF) hereby notifies the general public that the green chillies imported from the approved sources from India will be made available in all 20 Dzongkhags. The Food Corporation of Bhutan (FCB) is authorised to import the green chillies from the approved sources and distribute to all 20 Dzongkhags. The Youth Business Cooperative (YBC) is responsible for distribution in the Western Dzongkhags through FCB.

    Considering the transportation charges that would be involved due to varying distances to different Dzongkhags, the retail prices of the green chillies by the retailers/vendors are determined and fixed as below:

  • Invitation of Tender

    Sealed rates are invited from travel agents and ticketing firms for air ticket for the following sectors as detailed below:

    Terms and conditions:

    1. The bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked as “Quotation for Air Tickets” to the Director General, BAFRA, MoAF, Thimphu latest by March 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM and will be opened at 10:30 AM on the same day.
    2. The rates should be quoted as per the sector given above and will be selected for the most direct and economical route.
    3. The availability of seats at the time of travel should be confirmed before submitting the quotation. The bidders are requested to mention the name of the airline and submit confirmed itineraries.
    4. The successful bidder should submit the photocopy of the air ticket along with the invoices for payment.
    5. Unconditional quotations like an increase of fares or changes of airlines at the time of travel will not be accepted.
    6. The availability of seats at the time of travel should be confirmed before submitting the quotation.
    7. Tender document should contain a photocopy of valid trade license issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs must be submitted.
