Bhutanese Journal of Agriculture (BJA) Volume II Launched

February 15, Thimphu: The Department of Agriculture launched the second volume of the Bhutanese Journal of Agriculture. The opening was graced by Aum Kinlay Tshering, Hon’ble Director, Department of Agriculture at DoA conference hall. The Director put on record her appreciation to the authors, reviewers and editorial board members for their contribution and for putting in extra effort to publish this edition successfully. She emphasized the importance of continuously working towards improving the quality of the journal and to encourage young researchers to develop a habit of scientific writing.

This edition comprises technical papers from crop production, digital soil mapping, economics, post harvest management, agro-biodiversity and morpho-agronomic analysis of new crop varieties.

The Department of Agriculture notes that the BJA has, up to a significant extent, succeeded in motivating researchers and field colleagues in maintaining a vibrant culture of research and scientific communication – key to success in research for agriculture development.

The journal was published by the Agriculture Research and Extension Division (ARED), Department of Agriculture. The e-copy of the Journal is available on MoAF website.
