February 5, Thimphu: This year coinciding with the commemoration of the First Birth Anniversary of His Royal Highness, The Gyalsey, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan announced the names of the five best civil servants of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. As a gift from His Royal Highness, The Gyalsey, the five civil servants will be sent for two weeks study tour programme.
The following are the Five Best Employees of Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, 2017:
- Kezang Tenzin, Sr. Forest Ranger I, WCNP Bumthang
- Duptho Tshewang, Sr. Extention Supervisor II, NPRDC Sarpang
- Kinzang Chophel, Asst. DAO, Samtse
- Chenga Tshering, Regulatory and Quarantine Inspector I, BAFRA, S/jongkhar
- Ugyen Sonam, Sr. Agriculture Supervisor II, ARDC Wengkhar
The ministry of Agriculture and Forests have instituted a culture of employee recognition system from various departments and agencies. The best employees of the year award were being initiated in recognition of their dedicated and outstanding contribution made by the individual to the Tsa-Wa-Sum. The awards were given to those civil servants who had contributed in exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his or her work and for their positive and supportive attitude.
Such recognition and award programme will be held annually to encourage the staff to work harder and more productively. The programme will recognise civil servants for achieving excellence in their field, and being the best worker in their respective fields.
To award and recognise the best employee, the respective Department/ Agencies shall develop internal criteria for selection and then submit to the Ministry. The Ministry then based on the performance rating , clean service record and number of years served and other criteria will award the best employees of the Year.
