105 new RNR recruits attends induction program

January 9-11, Thimphu: Hundred and five new RNR recruits attended the three days induction programme at NRDCL conference hall. On the first day, they were briefed on the main objectives of orientation programme and its rationale, rules and organisational structure of the Ministry followed by a plenary session.

They were sensitised on BCSR 2018 and its relevant rules, ethics and integrity tools. In addition, an overview of the RNR sector plan and priorities were also presented to them including the HR situation and its issues.

On second day, the new recruits were briefed by their respective departments. The third day included a presentation on MaX online systemto familiarise them on how to develop individual work plan.

They were also briefed on Driglam Namzha (Etiquette) by the officials from the Department of Culture who highlighted that ensuring proper etiquette is very necessary in our day-to-day life.

The closing ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo Yeshey Penjor. He shared that our responsibility as RNR officials is to interact with people of 20 dzongkhags, 205 gewogs and farmers to help them. ‘While in service, we must serve with utmost dedication and honesty and we should make full use of our knowledge that we have acquired so far in order to benefit our nation and farmers in particular,’ Lyonpo said. He further added, ‘We must take challenges as opportunities and be determined to face them,’.
